They call me brutal. They call me unrepentant. They call me possessive. I am all these things and much worse.

But to her, I will be conqueror.

The Golden Line is a dark, sinister Omegaverse romance for those with twisted tastes and a love for delicious villains. Complete power exchange dominates these pages, as does an attentive Alpha hero you will adore.

The Golden Line (Knotted,#1)

The Golden Line by Addison Cain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my friggen god I bloody adored The Golden Line (Knotted,#1) like so much.
Just when I think it can’t get any better than my previous Addison experience I get this little gem.
I don’t really want to share this; nope nope nope.
I want to keep the delectable delicious Simin and all his deep grumbly purrs all to myself; he’s not yours girls; This Adorable Alpha is all mine.

Okay okay, I suppose I’m being greedy trying to keep Simil all to myself I can share the love if I absolutely have to.
So this was really a tale of two halves for me; one of which I entered rather blindly.
I really was quite literally in the dark towards where this was ultimately heading.
Experiencing alongside Morgaine her frightful treatment at the hands of her Alpha tormentors.
I was there as they broke her with there unapologetic conditioning and as she hit rock bottom my heart hurt so much for this poor confused and traumatised girl.
Frantically looking around for someone to save her I was losing all hope.
That was why it was so special to see Simin take a step out of the stereotypical box and attempt with his whole entire being to rebuild Morgaine’s shattered psyche.
To come along and take this supposed feral omega for himself but also to actually see her as an individual and person in her own right was bewitching.
So this one for me; had as ever everything that I usually find captivating and hypnotic when it comes to this authors work.
All the usual magnetism you’d expect was still produced but this was alongside a much more softer overall approach when it came to her Alpha than we are usually given.
Don’t mistake me Simil is as Alpha as they come but he also came with the ability to place his omega at a much higher importance than his own needs and wants and it was magic.

Simin understood the best way to gain his omega Morgaine’s heart was ultimately through her trust; he had her lust but as his end game he wanted her soul also.
He was much more romantic than his predecessors and was not afraid to voice his feelings but rather than emasculating him it only enhanced his overall allure.

I also think taking away the ability to communicate through language and only through an interpreter brought a new layer to Alpha and Omega expectations.
Much more care was taken considerably on Simil’s part because of the lack of verbal cues.
It made it much more crucial to observe the non-verbal signs in each other.
So this had everything you would usually expect from this series but with such a difference in approaches than what we are usually used to.
I have to say, I’m equally a fan of both ways.
I also loved the finale here; where it left us, on edge and salivating at the mouth for that next anticipated instalment.
I feel like I am poised, waiting, breathe bated in expectation; the scene has been set with such finesse.
Addison Cains omegaverse universe is fast becoming one of my all-time favourite series I can’t get enough of it, whatever light the participants are portrayed in.
So before I go I should mention that this is an extended reworked story from the Royally Mine anthology that was originally titled Consumed.
That was a short story that is no longer available; “The Golden Line” is now a full-length novel and has been extensively improved on.
This is a series I can’t recommend highly enough and gets my whole-hearted seal of approval every single time.
Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of “The Golden Line (Knotted,#1)” of which I have reviewed voluntary.

“True Storm” is a fantastic conclusion to what has been so far a great Imaginative new YA series.
Though book two is still hands down my favourite this definitely comes in a very close second.
With, as usual, fabulously creative world-building skills and an amazingly diverse cast.
This directly from the start places the reader smack bang into the middle of the story and with so many ups and downs and twists and turns I really had no clue what was going to occur next.
And if I’m bloody honest here, I had the pants shocked off of me on numerous occasions.
This is non-stop action with some major shockers thrown into the assortment just for shit and giggles and also to help muddy the waters further.
I really wasn’t prepared for some of the happenings in “True Storm” and did find myself crying like a baby as the story gradually unfolded to its ultimate conclusion.
“True Storm” itself, finally gives us answers to certain questions and loose ends left over from previous instalments.
A sense of closure is finally offered, rounding things up nicely for the reader.
One slight criticism from me know, that ending!!
I would have maybe liked things expanded on slightly.
Clarified a trifle more, the eventual fallout with Storm and Jared I would have really liked to see play out to its foregone conclusion.
I just think It would have added an extra dimension and depth to the proceedings if things had been spun that way.
And also can I just say, after all that denial from Lu and Jared about there relationship things just seemed to me to be slightly anti-climatic in nature.
It was all wrapped up a bit too quickly and pat for my particular liking.
Another slight gripe was I didn’t feel certain characters in this book got the page time they deserved when it came to there fates.
I know obscure much!!!
but I really can’t say much more without giving too much information away and spoiling this excellent tale for others.
But what I will say is this.
one of my favourite characters here got a pretty raw deal in my opinion.
And I was not impressed with how quickly he was brushed over and moved on with, just saying.
On a final note, this instalment is slightly friskier than the others.
Though it is still completely suitable for a younger audience it’s only kissing and some mild petting but just thought I’d mention it.
So that’s it from me, this was a great YA read that I really did enjoy.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of “True Storm (True Born Trilogy #3)” of which I have reviewed voluntary.

Release Date-3/4/18

So “True North” is the second instalment in this fascinating dystopian YA Trilogy.
And out of the two, this was hands down my favourite.
This just seemed to have a much more intense vibe overall than the previous book.
The action here was amped up and pumping from the get-go and it stayed constant throughout, with no actual let-up in sight.
So this started not long after “True Born left off.
With Margot god knows where after being voluntary kidnapped by her parents and the mysterious Leo Resnikov.
More than likely to somewhere in Russia.
Meanwhile, Lucy herself is beside herself, worried sick and determined to bring her twin home where she belongs.
So, Upon realising her tempory guardian Storm has a hidden agenda and is, in fact, pulling his feet in regards to the help he promised.
Lucy now decides she only has herself to rely on and sets out to accomplish her goals herself.
With the assistance of the enigmatic Alister who upon saving Lucy from a child street gang takes it upon himself to aid her in her future endeavours.
And also understandably the protective “True Born” Jared Price also along for the foreseeable ride.
These three young individuals set off across oceans and unfamiliar terrain all to attempt bringing Lucy’s sister Margot back home to Dominion where she belongs.
So in True North, we finally get answers to some of those all important questions.
But for every one actually resolved another seemed to pop up in its place.
We also get to see a much closer relationship develop between Jared and Lucy with the former practically imprinting on her.
One niggle I do have know with this particular storyline is that I just don’t get why Jared won’t take his relationship with Lucy further.
And Lucy does she think she’s holding out for something better?
What does it matter if Jared goes all beast on her, is there someone else in her crosshairs?
That would be my one annoyance I took away from reading this.
I just don’t get the point here of staying apart.
when everything is turning to hell in a handbasket a constant would really be such a comfort.
Keeping your options open is a rather unromantic prospect as is saving someone from themselves.
Lucy should have turned around and told Jared to get over himself.
Why is she using her parents as an excuse as well, geez she should be disowning these un-natural rents.
This was also slightly more handsy than the previous book.
It was all very mild in nature though with just some light kissing and touching, nothing to stress over it was still very clean and suitably YA.
So I found this such an engrossing read and I am really looking forward to the final piece of this trilogy.
if you are looking for a good dystopian YA read this one really was a winner for me.
So I was kindly provided with an ARC of “True North” By Entangled Teen Publishing and Netgalley of which I have reviewed voluntary.

Release Date-3/5/16

So True Born is book one of a trilogy that takes place in Dominion.
A city devastated by ruin caused by a plague on mankind.
There seems to be three tiers of people Splicers, Lasters and True Born.
The rich and entitled seem to be the splicers as only the rich can afford to splice there DNA to survive and the poor take up the majority of the Lasters who are really just waiting for the virus to take effect and finish them off.
Thrown into this mix are the True Born, In my opinion, the most fascinating of the three castes.
These True Borns are immune to the virus due to there throwback animal DNA this is evolution at its finest.
So True born is a clean YA book set in a dystopian future.
It features twins Lucy and Margot Fox the daughters of a wealthy high-placed splicer couple and is told from Lucy’s POV.
As this pair approach their eighteenth birthday there orderly efficient life is about to change as they know it.
Into this background is dropped Jared who as well as being a True Born himself is also quite taken with Lucy and really just wants to keep her safe while also opening her eyes to the atrocities being committed in the city.
Jared is part of Storm Logans team who along with other True Borns have been hired to provide protection to the twins while their parents are out of town.
So that is the basic gist of this book and while I did enjoy it, I do have some minor issues as well.
So first it did take me quite a while to become invested in this story.
I’m not actually sure why that was.
Maybe because this was quite slow moving and took a while to actually get going.
Or maybe it was the information overload initially and trying to get this world straight in my head.
That being said the world building here was fantastic and very thorough indeed.
And when I did finally merge with True Born I’ve got to say I was so glad I’d persevered here as it was well worth the wait.
I also really liked both girls they’d lived a very sheltered life which had definitely impacted there outlook on things and I adored Jared and the other True Borns.
Jared had such a protective vibe towards Lucy even when he was trying to distance himself he couldn’t help but adhere to her side like glue.
I also enjoyed the diversity of the different characters here all being very unique in themselves.
The parents, well they were just a waste of breath, what rotten child-rearing skills.
True Born for me really sent the message that even in this dystopian landscape the rich and powerful holds all the cards while the little man is left to suffer in vain.
Nothing had changed with the powers that be just the surrounding settings.
I found True Born to be an enjoyable start to a YA trilogy with a powerful message to also impart.
I was provided with an ARC of “True Born (True Born Trilogy, #1)” By Netgalley of which I have reviewed voluntary.

Shakira had never felt at home growing up in Surrey, but as soon as she entered the quaint Welsh village she knew she belonged. Maybe it was because of the welcoming villagers. Or perhaps it was the presence of the others whom she sensed nearby; the ones she saw in her dreams, with their strange glowing eyes.

Fate is not always kind. It gives with one hand and takes with the other. There is a reason she didn’t grow up with her own kind.

A rich tale of witchcraft, fae, sorcery, Elinefae and dragons; this is a story for all who dare to believe.

So I absolutely adored Love Bites (Darkness & Light Duology, #1) by T.L. Clark and I really can’t wait to get started on the second book.
I can honestly say I don’t think I have ever read anything this different Love Bites has a uniqueness to it that I haven’t seen in a while.
A freshness to a paranormal/fantasy theme that I haven’t encountered before.
I read a lot and can honestly say this is the first time I have encountered this idea.
Here we are dealing with basically evolved felines.
Elinefae to give this race of unique individuals their correct name.
Basically, a race of cat-people who have kept their selves separate from the world almost lost in another time if you regard their lack of technology and how they live in Dens underground.
Clans of Elinefae who are basically forbidden to mix with humans each clan having the aid of a witch.
And into this strict hemisphere of controlled populace comes Shakira searching for something she’s not quite sure of just following her inner psyche until she lands in a small welsh village beginning a journey that has been in the reckoning for nigh on twenty years.
In the process Setting in motion a ball that cannot be stopped in its momentum gathering speed along the way.
Until all of Shakira’s questions are finally answered.
So as I said earlier this is so fresh and unique Love Bites is filled with all sorts of magical creatures a lot would do Kiera harm given the opportunity (Kiera is Shakira’s new chosen name on account of Pryderi being unable to pronounce Shakira.)
Pryderi is?
well, Maybe you should pick this up and give this a go and found out for yourself.
I Guarantee you Pryderi is all sorts of fascinating.
And you so won’t be bored this was such an easy engaging read with fantastic world building and a truly unique experience all-round.
I read this so fast I was that engrossed and lost in this fascinating original world.
So Love Bites is filled with witches, fairies sirens, warlocks the list goes on and on.
This is a magical extravaganza that I really enjoyed and didn’t want to end.
So to finish up this was a great read that I highly recommend.
I was gifted a copy of “Love Bites” (Darkness & Light Duology, #1) from the Author of which I have reviewed voluntary.

/ ARC-Book Review / Red (Believe #1) / Trista Jaszczak /

Kindle Edition-266 Pages

This novel contains strong sexual content, mature language, and mild violence. This is not one of your mama’s fairytales.

Who’s afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

Samantha Wentworth has one mission in life: to get as far away as she possibly can from her troubled past. When she finds herself on the Louisiana bayou, she runs straight into the arms of a very sexy Big Bad Wolf that she just can’t seem to resist. Will Samantha continue on her journey, or does the full moon have other plans in store for her?

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

 photo Red-Kindle_zpsfp02hmnk.jpg

🌟🌟🌟1/2 STARS
Red (Believe #1) by Trista Jaszczak was at heart a lovely sweet read.
It is loosely based on the little red riding hood fairy tale in as much that Samantha Wentworth while on the run from her violent ex runs out of fuel for her motorbike on the outskirts of a town somewhere in Louisiana.
Deciding to camp in the woods till first light, Samantha is surprised by Ethan, running in the woods with his brothers.
Ethan along with his brothers have all been cursed with a moon madness, wolf senses and strength from actions they committed a few years back.
Nicknaming Samantha Red on account of her Red motorcycle helmet and red leather jacket.
Ethan proceeds to get his red out of the woods to safety in an old cabin in the woods.
Here the two connect only to be interrupted by Ethan’s Brothers.
So this story is told backwards which at first I thought a bit strange but quickly realised this worked.
The getting to know each other and connection came much later down the line.
You will get what I mean when you read this.
Ethan is less big bad wolf and more like big good wolf, he was such a sweetie.
I found both main characters to be extremely likeable though I did find Red to be a bit timid and introverted at times, easily upset.
Maybe because of her background, which in hindsight is very understandable.
There’s also plenty here to keep you on your toes.
A curse, Pack wars, plenty of humour and some super hot action to set those pages alight.
And the banter amongst the brothers was really amusing.
Gave me quite the giggle.
the only thing for me that pulled this down slightly was how easy the other pack went away, it didn’t quite make sense after the fuss they’d caused.
And the second thing was it took me a while to feel the connection between Red and Ethan.
I think this was because the brothers kind of overshadowed the pair sometimes.
So for myself, I would have loved to have seen more one on one with Ethan and Red, as the times I did experience when they were alone I really loved.
So, in conclusion, this was such an enjoyable tale and the fact it was loosely based on a fairy tale I loved as a child was an added bonus.
I was provided with a copy of “Red (Believe #1) ” By the author of which I have reviewed voluntary.

Reborn (Alpha's Claim, #3)Reborn by Addison Cain

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Epically heartbreaking.

How to summarize Reborn to adequately express in my opinion how amazingly well written and addictive this story was, expressing myself without giving away any spoilers, that would ruin it for others is not an easy feat, but here goes, this third installment in the alpha’s claim series was beautifully heartbreaking but was also the most romantic in terms of emotions and feelings. The love between our two main characters Claire the omega and Shepherd the Alpha actually shone from the pages you didn’t need the words from Claire to know she loved shepherd even if she had a hard time admitting it to herself. Shepherd well I feel from reborn the main thing that came across was his immense need to experience real love, something he has never really had defiantly not from his psychotic ex lover, he just wants Claire to love him he has realised and regrets past actions but genially believes, if wrongly, he did them out of love to keep his mate safe . questions are answered and actions are explained everything is running so smoothly then, and this is the part I struggled with absolute tragic MAYHEM!!!! What I hated most about this story is actually what made it so epic and makes Addison Cain such a good writer, you can never imagine what is coming round the corner, a total train wreck of a storyline . I hoped, I prayed and I bawled my eyes out ,and believe me getting me to cry is a feat in itself, I have the emotional range of a teaspoon usually and very few books make me cry well this did i was absolutely gutted . My heart was in my throat till the final words luckily I was left with a profound sense of hope that I am clinging to. A brilliant piece of fiction that I really enjoyed.

Born to be Broken (Alpha's Claim, #2)Born to be Broken by Addison Cain

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Alphas and omegas

Born to be broken didn’t disappoint, i started this book so angry that shepherd would betray his omega mate Claire with that viper of a woman and as I can now mention my opinion about the previous actions in book one of shepherd without spoiling it for other readers here we go, in a word idiotic gullible fool, obviously doesn’t realise when he’s being played. just shows how absorbing and well written this book is that I could continue reading and still rate it so high as this sort of betrayal is usually a hard limit for me I like my antihero’s to be faithful even when there at there most wicked , call me picky but its something I find hard to forgive and its a major turn off for me. this book mainly deals with the consequences of these actions and shepherds attempts to woo Claire back to him. We also see shepherd try to open up and be more transparent even slightly mellowing, That’s All I’m going to say other than enjoy I did.

Born to be Bound (Alpha’s Claim, #1) by Addison Cain

Release Date-April 8th 2016
Genre-Dark Erotic Romance
Kindle Edition-242 pages

Surrender is not survival.

Claire is desperate. Her once thriving city lies in ruins. The strongest of the three human dynamics, Alphas, have grown feral. Common Betas circle like vultures. The lowest in the hierarchy, rare and weak Omegas like Claire, are being destroyed. Sheltering amidst a dwindling enclave of frightened Omega women, Claire cannot provide enough to feed them all; her friends are starving.

All due to one escaped convict’s violent rise to power.

Shepherd is every bit as ruthless as his reputation suggests. Despite taking every possible precaution, Claire is captured and her worst nightmare realized. Shepherd, discovering a rare Omega in his midst, claims her like a prize, forcing a pair-bond that ties her to him forever.

She fights her instincts and his will because no matter how manipulative the bond might be, she despises what he’s done to her people. If she cannot find a way to help her friends, if she cannot escape, everyone she loves will die.

Publisher’s Note: The first book in Addison Cain’s exciting, raw, and suspense-filled Omegaverse series is a dark tale with explicit sexual themes and complete power exchange. Though situations may be interpreted as romantic, this is a story about the effect of extreme circumstances on the human psyche and the consequences of obsession—not a standard romance. If such material offends you, please do not purchase.

Born to be Bound (Alpha's Claim, #1)Born to be Bound by Addison Cain

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wasn’t sure what I was going to think when I started to read this book but boy in a word AMAZING!!!!. I love the whole idea of omega’s, beta’s and Alpha’s the whole concept of Heat cycle’s nesting and pair mates was so very unique. A very quick explanation of Born to be Bound is Claire an omega goes to try and secure help for her fellow omega’s from Shepherd The Head alpha in charge after the undercroft the prison system for the domed city has overtaken and toppled the city’s government. The omegas are starving and being hunted. Instead, shepherd takes Claire hostage killing ten men in the process and forcing a pair bond, when Claire goes into heat. After some drama, an escape and some very shocking action’s on shepherds part that stunned me stupid, the mate bond is damaged to an extent that leads to a shocking finale.totally get Claire’s reaction what on earth is going through that alphas head, cannot get my head round shepherds mindset is he evil or misunderstood time will tell, don’t think any amount of purring is going to get him off the hook this time, enthralling read so looking forward to book two
