She whispers my name at night, filling my dreams with her haunting beauty.
Her tormented amber eyes beg me for something I don’t understand, and her agonizing pain becomes my own.
For years, she’s come to me, calling my name.
For years, I’ve never known who she was.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Stars ARC REVIEW BOOK
I adored “The Sinister Silhouette” By Alex Grayson. This is my first book by this particular author, but it definitely won’t be my last. No sir-ee; I am certainly going to be having a mooch around to see what else this fantastically talented author has to offer. But first; yes I did figure out the twists here. And Second; I’m so sorry; I can’t really elaborate any further on said twists as this would spoil the whole experience for you. I know some find it spoils there enjoyment overall when deciphering plotlines; myself; I always feel a trifle smug and sherlocky and if the twist is good and clever; I really couldn’t give a hoot if I’ve used my marvellous skills of deduction; blowing my own trumpet here folks. I just feel like raising a glass to the author saying; job well-done mate; I applaud you; really I do. So figuring out some stuff here or thinking I did; really wasn’t the end of the world for me. This still was jammed packed with so many twists and turns and intricate plot-journeys that I was enthralled throughout. Its told in my favourite dual POV and had the added bonus of an excellent side-cast; all really well developed as well. This was also crammed full of mystery and intrigue throughout and at every new turn, I felt we were getting a different perspective and fresh flavour. “The Sinister Silhouette” was a fabulous read that I can’t recommend enough. I have a soft spot for tattoo artists as well; so was over the moon to have one at the centre of this intriguing story. I wasn’t quite sure what this book was going to bring to the table with that obscurely but so tantalising blurb. but need not have worried as it was all so darn good. Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of “The Sinister Silhouette” of which I have reviewed voluntary.

Ryze Series 1-2 by N. Isabelle Blanco
My rating: 4 of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Stars REVIEW COPY.
So this is a re-release of book one and two in N. Isabelle Blanco’s fantastic Ryze series. It also has an additional bonus of the first ten chapters of “Blood Drenched Conquest” book three; and its worth buying for that fact alone. So I’ve broken this down into two separate camps; to give you more of an impression of where my thoughts were going with these two excellent stories. But really to me, this could easily read as one extra weighty action-packed volume of deliciousness just waiting to be devoured by the reader. On a side note, the cover art used for this particular series is gorgeous and would make me want to read it for that fact alone
so here goes.
Blood Flows Deep (Ryze #1)
Blood Flows Deep (Ryze #1) by N. Isabelle Blanco was a really great start to what is shaping up to be a fantastic new series. I’m not a newcomer to this author having previously read her Voyeur collaboration; which incidentally I adored. But this was so different to anything I expected, and I mean that in a completely positive way. This was just so imaginative and though I was expecting Ismini and Dyletri’s story here what we got was just so much more. Dyletri is the god of lust and Ismini; the female Dy has waited aeons for; not for his own but to sacrifice to the fates to bring back his lost love Diminthia. Well, that was never going to end well ay? So moving on here “Blood Flows Deep” was so rich in truly developed characters; who displayed such individualism and diversity it was an actual pleasure to experience. While this story was developing; the author was weaving such an intricate web; with so many overlaps and intricacies, it was truly a staggering feat. The only reason I didn’t rate this much higher was there were certain incidences in the fabric of this tale that were not to my taste; however this authors story welding skills; were truly a super-power and for that reason alone you need to read this. After this book, you will definitely need to soldier on regardless; it was like a compulsion to get to that fated finale. This is told from multiple POV; I usually can’t abide this at all; here I loved it; it just seemed to fit the author’s way of narrating. this truly was a pleasure to read and it was only some slight personal preferences that pulled this down.
Onwards and upwards to the next exciting, action-filled episode of this series.
Blood Stained Tranquility (Ryze, #2)
This was the second instalment in N. Isabelle Blanco’s “Ryze” series and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Starting immediately where we previously left off “Blood Stained Tranquility (Ryze, #2)” is everything its predecessor was and more. This slightly has the edge for me in terms of content; there wasn’t really much I didn’t like here, and if book one was a good read; this was a fabulous one. Here we have Evesse from book one and Zeniel; her new mate; who also happens to be the God of Tranquility along with something a little extra; almost like a two for one-er. Zeniel is battling his dual personality here and you really get such a feel for the agony he is currently enveloped in. This was such an emotional read; so much more so than the first book in this series. Don’t get me wrong; that had plenty of emotion too; this just takes it to a whole new level of meaning; I was transfixed throughout. As usual, the action here was off the hook, both in and out the bedroom. And yes, I’m speaking metaphorically here; the gods between these pages didn’t actually care where they fornicated and their antics were smoking hot with it. This is again told from multiple POV’s and adds; if it’s even possible; more new characters to an already overflowing cast. You would think this would be an issue; keeping straight all the multiple pathways and individuals; it’s not. This was actually really easy to follow along with despite the huge cast. Quite the story-weaver was our author. There is so much potential for story growth here that I’m mega excited to see where this goes.
This was a really fantastic imaginative read and I’m so looking forward to the next in the series.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with a review copy of “Ryze Series 1-2 ” of which I have reviewed voluntary.

Tacet a Mortuis (Whispers from the Dead) by Amo Jones
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ STARS ARC BOOK REVIEW
“Tacet A Mortuis” What can I say about this mind-altering piece of fiction. I actually felt like I had entered an alternate reality here; so great was my confusion at times.
But despite this, I still loved this book like so so much. I felt like I had been waiting for this story and answers for like absolute forever. So my first item on the agenda was to re-skim book two “The Broken Puppet” to reacquaint myself on the whole silver Swan enigma. Then being in the right head space I dived in, crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. And boy it didn’t take long before I was back there immersed in this confusing tale of obscurity and lifelong secrets. A mystery shrouded in aeons of tradition where the Kings are the pivotal players and every move is a calculated risk. And at the very centre of all this confusion is our “Silver Swan” Madison Montgomery. And where in previous books I have given her a bit of a free pass in regards to her sometimes immaturity; here I really just wanted to totally lamp her arse.
Her behaviour at the beginning of this book was abysmal. The fallout from what Madi perceives as a betrayal from Bishop was harsh man and really didn’t catalogue Madi in a very good light at all. I found myself totally switching from Team Madi to Team Bishop; so great was my disgust at her immature actions.
it’s just a bloody good job she does manage to redeem herself at a later date; that’s the only thing that saved her from my steaming wrath. So book three is actually told in a slightly different fashion than previous instalments. Instead of just Madison’s POV this time we are treated to the inner sanctum of what is Bishop’s cold calculating psyche. And as an added bonus; an occasional cameo from Madi’s twin bro Daemon. And this I found really added an extra layer to proceedings; giving us a much more in-depth and sympathetic profile of Bishop the man and what ultimately makes him tick. You get to see such a different side to Bishop here; more loving and protective overall but still a complete bad-ass to outsiders or anyone he perceives as a threat to his girl.
And after the initial fallout from book two the dynamic established between Madi and Bishop is the best to date. Maybe because we are getting a much more rounded perspective of them both. We do get some of the questions that have been rattling around our heads finally answered here; thank god. But in true Amo Jones style, we are still not let in on the whole entire picture. There is still so much more to discover and yippee another book to boot.
Was so stoked to discover that titbit. I’m just hoping we stay with Bishop and Madi. Please god, more Bishop especially; I beg of you. “Tacet A Mortuis” is as usual with this series; red hot in the sexual department. And I’ll say it again; where were these gods of sexual prowess when I was a girl. Mmm, nope not seeing any; move along. But suspending disbelief slightly; Bishop and Madi really spark flames here with there combustible energy and sizzling chemistry. setting the pages on fire with there antics. Bucket of water needed, please. There was also a great supporting cast to compliment the A team; all really well developed. Some old faces and some new players. And as I said earlier some closure. But damn it I was hoping for all the answers here and I’m still left somewhat confused. Oh well onwards and upwards. So despite me wanting to drop-kick madison throughout “Tacet A Mortuis” I’m still giving this Five stars. I ummed and awwed a bit and did consider dropping half a star; just on account of Madi. I eventually decided against this; I was so hooked and invested in the storyline here that I have to give it its due. I couldn’t put this down and “tacet A Mortuis” was adhered to my hand throughout this whole experience. So it’s getting a full house. I cant recommend this series enough; it’s truly an intriguing read. Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of “Tacet a Mortuis (Whispers from the Dead) (The Elite King’s Club #3)” of which I have reviewed voluntary. Marble isn’t the only thing that’s hard at this museum.
His body is as chiselled as Adonis. His lips are as sculpted as David. And his ego is the size of the Guggenheim.
You know the type—wolfish smile and the gravity of a black hole. The kind of man who sucks all the air from the room the second he enters it. My cocky boss thinks this internship was wasted on me, and he doesn’t hesitate to let me know.
But he’s wrong, and I’m going to prove it to him. If I can stay away from his devil lips, that is. Lips that cut me down and kiss me in the same breath, leaving me certain he’s on a mission to ruin my life.
And maybe my heart.
Piece of Work by Staci Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️STARS ARC BOOK REVIEW
“Piece of Work” by Staci Hart was a very enjoyable fast paced rom-com. with an extremely unconventional female heroine at its centre and an intriguing unique storyline that had no issues pulling me in and keeping me entertained. This was my first toe-dip into the waters of this particular author. And I’m very pleased to say the experience was a positive one. “Piece Of Work” is told in dual POV; with both, David and Rin taking alternate turns reciting chapters. It’s set in the very different world of Fine Arts. I particularly liked this fact as knowing nothing about the medium of Art; I actually felt I was getting a brief window into another world here; almost educating me about the whole setting. First, we have Hyo-rin Van de Meer; new intern in the European Paintings department at the Met. Korean, very tall, clumsy, shy and seriously lacking in everyday people skills. But on the other side of the coin; also intelligent, Loyal, funny and a great friend. Rin has so much to offer but is so used to being all but invisible to others; so when our ugly duckling with the help of her best girlfriends morphs overnight into the swan that was always hiding beneath her skin David definitely notices this and is no longer just intrigued by Rin’s fine mind; but also the body covering it. Now for David/Dr Lyons; Rins new tempory boss at the museum and the resident Art Curator. David comes with baggage an overbearing father and a substantial Trust fund. Always searching for a hidden agenda he’s so used to people wanting something from him he never takes anything at face value. Well got to say; I wasn’t initially digging his vibe at all. When we are first introduced to the Art Curator himself my first impression here was that he was an egotistical douche. His snap judgment attitude towards Rin and how he perceives her was abysmal. So dismissive; not even reprimanding his assistant The Barracuda Bianca; which is what I have affectionately titled the vicious witch; was awful to watch almost bullying. Just referencing Rin as “The Intern” like she wasn’t even a person with emotions and all that well ggrrrr; let’s just say David at that moment in time was not at his finest and his inconsiderate actions really boiled my piss; like totally. But moving on here slightly; when David does eventually start to allow his inner nice guy a small vacation things do start to look up a bit for our two lovers. And it’s not long before David and Rin are setting these pages alight with there sexy antics. So “Piece Of Work” was an excellent read. It was your classic ugly duckling metamorphosis story. With a misunderstood growly Beastly Boss also thrown into the mix just for good measure. And though slightly predictable in places; this was still a fun easy read that brought an easy smile to my face. David along the line; did eventually grow on me and Rin along with all her friends I adored from the start. If you’re looking for a sweet romantic rom-com this ticks all the boxes. I also think this was set up rather nicely for future publications; can’t wait to see the other members of the “Red Lipstick Coalition” achieve there future HEA’s. So I’m crossing my fingers and toes here that this is the start of a fun new series. Hers hoping. Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of “Piece Of work” of which I have reviewed voluntary. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
This whole contest was supposed to be easy. I know, I know. Famous last words.
It’s a long story, but I messed up at work. Big time. To earn back the trust of my boss, I promised to save one of our magazines. Yep. That Hot Dad contest you’ve seen advertised all over the place was my idea. And if I’m successful, if I’m able to increase our online readership, then I get a shot at my dream job.
But the one thing I never expected to happen, happened: Contestant number ten, Grayson Malone. Hello, Mr Difficult. And did I mention sexy as hell?
Unfortunately, he knows me. The old me, anyway. And while we might be older now, I remind him of before. Of the woman who broke his heart, who hardened him, and who left him alone to raise the cutest little boy I’ve ever seen.
But I don’t want a relationship. And I definitely don’t fall for single dads with baggage. Even ones with chiselled abs and killer smiles.
But he got to me. They got to me. Him and his son and their messy, crazy life. But I got to him too. I see the stolen glances. I feel the walls he built start to crumble. I recognize that there’s an unexpected beauty to the chaos in his life.
And now that the contest is about to end, we’re left to decide whether the last six months were just fun or if what we have is worth risking it all?
But by the time I reach her, my blood boils with irrationality spurred on by too much alcohol.“Can I have a moment?” I ask as I walk up to her and grab her elbow, pushing her down the darkened hallway.
“What is your problem?” She hisses as she fights me every step of the way.
We get looks. I get looks. I don’t care because all I keep seeing is Vince’s hands on her arm. His eyes on her tits. His bullshit game I can spot a mile away.
I find the closest door down the hallway leading to the bathrooms, and it opens. I push her through it, barely noticing that it’s an office of sorts before the door is shut, her back is up against it, and my mouth is covering hers.
Goddammit. That’s my only thought as I fit my lips to hers and take out my anger on her mouth with tongue and teeth and every fucking lick and nip in between.
“I’m so pissed at you.”
It’s all I say. It’s the only chance I give her to come up for air before my lips are back on hers. Before my tongue wars with hers. Before my body admits it would beg, borrow, and steal in order to taste every other part of her.
I swallow the tiny sound she makes in our kiss as my hands hold her neck still and my lips wage an all-out assault. She hesitates—just a split second—before she reacts. Before her body bows into me, and her mouth argues back.
Her hand in my shirt. Her other hand at the back of my neck as our bodies meet—pressed knee to chest. Her perfume in my nose. Her hair tickling my cheeks. The feel of her tits against my chest.
I can’t get enough.
I’m mad at her.
I want her.
I don’t want to want her.
Christ, do I want her.
“Gray.” A murmured protest.
I tear my lips from hers, shove off the door I have her pressed against, and stride to the other side of the room.
“You are . . . you just . . .” It’s as if I can barely breathe. Christ, I’m mad at you.”
She stands there, lips parted, chest heaving, and golden brown curls messed from my hands, but her eyes look hurt. A hurt I don’t want to see but can’t deny.
“You did this,” I accuse as I try to manage the anger that’s waging a war against my desire.
“Did what?” Her eyes narrow. Her hand goes to press against her chest.
“Made me want you.”
Grayson: I’ve been thinking about you all day.
I look down at the text and smile before turning my attention back to Rissa and our plans for how we’re going to end this round of voting and move on to the top five.
“So, I think we close it out and then maybe take the next week and announce one of the finalists each day. Give little tidbits about each of them, make readers like them more, just have fun with it.”
My phone beeps again with another text, and I bite back the new grin trying to form on my lips. Rissa only huffs, eyeing my phone with annoyance. “Sorry, let me turn my ringer off.”
And then I have to feign nonchalance when I look down at my phone and find another text.
Grayson: My dick is rock hard, and it’s you I’m imagining. It’s in my hand when I’d rather it be in your mouth with my fingers in your pussy, working you into a frenzy.
“Is everything okay?” Rissa asks, making me realize I must have made a noise when I read the text. “You look startled.”
I glance back at the text again and shake my head while every part of my body comes to life. “Yeah, it’s, uh, fine.”
“Your ringer.” Her brows are lifted as she glances to my phone and then back to me.
“My finger?” I squeak, thinking she saw the phone screen.
“Ringer. Sound on your phone.”
“Oh, yes . . . sorry.” Flustered, I fumble with my cell, and before I can even switch it off, another text alert pings.
Grayson: I want to bend you over and watch as my cock slides in and out of you.
“So back to next week . . .”
“Yes,” I swallow over the desire lodged in every place it should be and try not to glance at my phone as it vibrates again.
“Are you good with that plan?” Rissa asks as I shift in my seat to abate the sudden ache burning brighter than bright.
“Yes. Sure. I think that sounds like a great plan.”
Grayson: I want my cock buried so deep that you feel every damn inch of me.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
“Yeah, why?” My voice breaks like a prepubescent teenager.
Grayson: I want you to come so hard you have to bite the pillow.
“You look a little flushed. Are you coming down with something?”
Grayson: You always have a choice. Isn’t that what you said to me once? Make a choice, Sidney. Isn’t it time to head to lunch?
“I mean, yeah, maybe.” I pull at my collar some. “Maybe that’s why I feel so flushed all of a sudden.”
Grayson: Meet me on the backside of The Cottages. Room Six. Fifteen minutes.
“Either that,” she says as she stands and heads to the door, only turning back to give me a wink, “or you’re guilty as hell. Maybe you should go take care of that itch texting you . . . or take some Tylenol. Whichever one it is, I think you should take the afternoon off.”
Grayson: Choose me.
“Oh.” It’s the only thing I can think to say because my brain is otherwise occupied imagining Grayson following through on his promises.
“I sure hope he’s every bit worth breaking the rules.” She winks. “It’s about damn time. Your secret is safe with me.”
