Genre-SciFi Alien Reverse Harem Romance
Kindle Edition-191 Pages

Abducted by aliens? Yes. Mistakenly bought as a family pet? Yep. Actually, unexpectedly starting to enjoy the ride? I just might be. I’ve been abducted, sold, and then sold again, all before I even knew what was going on.

Luckily for me, I might just have been bought by the three nicest….guys….in the universe.

Maisy has to adapt to her new life traveling through space, lucky for her she has a set of three alien brothers to help her along…big, furry and very affectionate, these brothers only come as a set.

*Contains themes of a very adult nature, meant for mature readers only. Warning – alien biology.*

MY REVIEW
Our Pet by S.M. Matthews
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So this was mostly a fun uncomplicated instalove sci-Fi romance that I did enjoy but for me also had some slight issues which I will get into later. I also should mention that the cover for this is absolutely shocking and if I was going on kerb appeal this would have been a sound no way, that front cover needs updating immediately along with the rest of this series, it’s just so bland and uninspiring. So this is a reverse harem type of scenario with a pack of lion-like alien brothers who share there mate. They also originally think she’s some sort of pet the equivalent of a cute household puppy. so the Lion pack itself consists of playful Tark who is the youngest, serious and take-charge Pate the oldest and in the middle, we have the family mediator Abner. Events unfold after Maisy awakens aboard the brother’s ship, Tark has purchased her from a dealer mistakenly thinking she is some sort of exotic species of pet. So this had a lot here that I did like, but then it also had some issues which I did ignore somewhat because I was enjoying myself. For starters, the world-building itself was a tad lacklustre and could have done with some expansion and deeper exploration we only skim the surface here leaving me at times feeling not fully immersed in the narrative. Also, the boy’s appearance while imaginative could have done with a bit more of an explanation as it was very vague in nature. We need details, and a lot of them regarding there overall appearance and colourings. We also only skimmed the surface with the two tails and other appendages and visually I had a hard time picturing their overall appearance in my head. Things like they couldn’t kiss because of there mouth structure and fangs but then had no problem putting it to use in certain bedroom scenarios structurally this just didn’t make sense. Also if you’re going to give them two dicks let them use the two together if you get my drift otherwise what’s the point. Maybe a more visual picture on the front of the book would help clarify an image to imagine them. Their appearance that is not their structure below, though I’m sure that would also make an equally imaginative and compelling visual hehe. Another thing that struck me was that Maisy herself managed to acclimatise almost instantly to her situation and we only have a very brief mention of her loved ones left behind on earth and almost nothing mentioned regarding her background-story other than waking naked, caged and afraid with others in a similar situation to herself. It just didn’t seem that realistic to me that she would be so blase about her whole new existence in space with massive lion-like aliens she more likely to be scared shitless. Despite the above, I still enjoyed this it was amusing and sweet and at times surprisingly heartfelt. I adored the brothers themselves especially Pate with his super-dominant streak he is most definitely the leader of this pack. I also felt the relationship dynamic between all four was well done with an equal connection between them all. So yeh this was a lot of fun and despite reservations, It was an interesting experience though I don’t think I will be reading the next in this series as I am just not invested enough here. With some small tweaks, this story could definitely be improved on as this has a lot of potential.

would still recommend this as I did keep me turning the pages.

Ander Cain promises me protection. A new world of pleasure and pain. But he wants all of me in return.

Even if it means taking me by force.

MY REVIEW

Andorra Sector by Lexi C. Foss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was bloody fantastic for start to finish and I devoured it in one sitting. I originally meant to read the first couple of chapters before bed but just couldn’t put it down. Once I started I ended up pulling an all-nighter I was that engrossed in the unfolding drama. This story focuses on Ander Cain the Alpha of the X-Clan Wolves and Katriana Cardona a human captured in his territory. So this is shapeshifter Omegaverse set against a dark dystopian landscape where the human population have been decimated massively by the Zombie virus. Kat resides in a cave system with her fellow humans in Andorra Sector, in X-Clan Wolf territory. The Wolves are way higher up the hierarchy system than the humans and not only are they immune from the virus these wolves have advanced technology and live their long lives under a protective dome. When the leader of Kat’s group targets the food transportation of the X-Clan it doesn’t end well for them, Kat herself is the only one left standing and sensing her spirit and natural submission Anders second in command decides to turn her. Expecting a beta Wolf what actually occurs is a rare Omega and she instantly captures the head Alphas attention. Chosen by Ander as a potential mate Kat originally fights him at every turn resulting in a set of events that push both of them passed the breaking point. Kat’s attempted escape and defiance to Ander’s natural dominance and his unthinking actions that result from this has far-reaching repercussions for them both. There were times here when this story actually made my heart hurt and brought forth a huge lump to my throat with its sheer emotional intensity. The devastation and overall rejection Kat was experiencing was such a hard pill to take. But the lengths this Alpha will eventually go to attempting to reverse the unintentional hurt and anguish he has caused to his Omega and illustrate his devoted intentions and fix what he has broken did manage to redeem him somewhat. He wanted to make it up to her and prove his devotion and he took responsibility regarding his previous thoughtless and callous regard. I also adored both Kat and Ander equally even despite spending plenty of time wanting to throw something at the insensitive clod’s (Anders) thick skull. This author has again managed to pull it out of the bag in a spectacular fashion. whenever she puts pen to paper I just devour it a definite auto-buy for me, whatever she produces I inhale. I highly recommend this one it was just so brilliant and intense and I can’t wait to experience more from this fascinating world.

MY REVIEW

Sick Remedies by Natalie Bennett
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So this is the second part to the pretty lies, ugly truths duet and again I did enjoy this as I have said previously I really do enjoy this author’s twisted imagination and sick remedies has two unapologetic deviant characters right at its centre which was a definite plus in its favour. I have a soft spot for the wicked and unrepentant and this did deliver on that front. I do still believe though this would have been better served as one complete novel rather than split into two smaller bitesize offerings, it loses some of its punch this way. Also, I did feel this left me with some unanswered questions and the ending as well also seemed rather abrupt. I definitely would like some of the blanks her filled in as I still have questions. Despite that, this was still an interesting read that I enjoyed and this author does manage to sell me on the unredeemable so for that reason this gets a thumbs up from me.

MY REVIEW
Stolen by the Fae by Laxmi Hariharan
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This one wasn’t really for me, it wasn’t that I was badly written or anything it actually wasn’t. It was just that It lacked substance and was mainly about the smut. Don’t get me wrong I like it as much as the next girl but this story was mainly the sex at the expense of the actual storyline itself. I thought the world-building and the plot were also rather lacking. Add in the constant two-ing and throwing when it came to Dante and Gia’s affections and it got a tad tiresome. It seemed that they themselves didn’t even know what they wanted and where they were at. This is basically a fated mate’s story and I did finish this but won’t be continuing on any further with this series. If you want something quick and easy and that’s all about the heat then this may be a fit for you.

Kindle Edition-363 Pages

The first time I died was November 1st, 1945. That might’ve been the first time, but it certainly wasn’t the last.

My name is Veil, and my life has been far from normal. Everything I thought I knew about myself had been a lie. Every single thing. Turns out, I had been in the care of a cult dedicated to a King in Hell and fallen archangel.

But after learning the truth of who—or what—I was, I devoted my life to stopping them and everyone like them.

Which is why when I learned that Boston was under siege from an occult society who was slaughtering innocents, I had no choice but to come and stop them. Even if it meant it would take me piece by piece through that past I’d spent seventy years trying to avoid—and right into the presence of the archdemon I’d been running from for so very long. Asmodeus.

Just when I thought things could not get worse, I realized once more that I had no clue what was coming next…

MY REVIEW

Shadow of Angels by Kathryn Ann Kingsley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So this was a super imaginative start to a whole new series. A new take on the whole Angels and demons scenario that was well written and I enjoyed a lot. This one does start out slow with plenty of secrets and mysterious origins but when it gets up and running it’s action-packed throughout. So the main character here isVeil and she is something else literally, she really is one of a kind with some very strange origins and abilities. She’s joined by her trusty bestie and sidekick Richard who is the closest thing to family she now claims as her own. Drawn along with Richard back to her old hometown of Boston it is the last place on earth our girl wants to be but with cultists causing murder and mayhem she really has no choice. joined by the hilarious duo of two unlikely priests and a minion in the form of an imp this has some great multi-faceted side characters who really stir things up some. so I do think Veil went a tad overboard in regards to her dealings with her old nemesis. There’s a fine line between such deep emotions and she is definitely straddling the boundary of this. To care that much and that strongly showcases the depth of her feelings of betrayal, to hate that deeply well the other side of the coin must also be felt equally. Regarding the relevance of them emotions, I do think shes a complex character with some deep-seated issues and at this moment I am on the fence slightly regarding what I actually think of Veil. Will be ever so interesting to see where this one does go especially concerning my feelings on certain characters. This was a different read that Was ever so unique and I will be reading the next instalment here.

MY REVIEW
The Hunted by Bethany-Kris
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First experience with this particular author and got to say The Hunted was bloody fantastic from start to finish. I read this in one sitting and it managed to enthral me so completely, I was captivated from the second I started this. Genre-wise this is a fantasy fairy-tale retelling loosely based on the little mermaid but with a much edgier vibe, this is definitely not the Disney version. Set in a fantasy world where Mermaids are real this is the story of Eryx and Arelle both royalty in their own right. The world-building here was fantastic crafting an experience that captured my imagination. I also adored how we left this with so much scope for future progression in this world and I for one would definitely love to read more from it. This was also incredibly well written with such a descriptive narrative I felt like I was right there alongside the characters themselves. I liked both Eryx and Arelle equally they were both such incredibly complex individuals and I felt for both their individual pains. I also thought they had such explosive chemistry when they finally came together. So this gets a massive thumbs up from my camp I highly recommend this one it really was a great read. My only issue now is I want to read more about these Mermaids.

At least she has Rob. Young, rich, handsome and successful, Rob runs a tech company on the idyllic Cornish coast. Kate met him just after her accident, and he nursed her back to health. When she’s with him, in his luxury modernist house, the nightmares of the accident fade, and she feels safe and loved.

Until, one day, she looks at Rob anew. And knows, with absolute certainty, that the man before her has been replaced by an impostor.

Is Rob who he says he is? Or is it all in Kate’s damaged mind?

The Other You by J.S. Monroe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was such a different and intriguing read that managed to grip me and capture my attention from the very start. A psychological thriller and a good one at that. Not only did it keep me guessing it also felt so fresh and had such a unique storyline running throughout. Kate a former super-recogniser once employed by the police to identify criminals is left with a brain injury after a recent car accident. Her new boyfriend Rob is everything she could ever want successful, attentive, loving and rich. He is also super invested in her recovery and doing everything he possibly can to aide Kate’s returns to full health. she has never felt more content and secure until that is one day Rob returns home from the city to the house they share in Cornwall and Kate is convinced that the man she loves has been replaced by an imposter. Told from various POV’s Kate herself, her ex-boyfriend Jake and also her Ex employer Silas this is a race to uncover the truth. Is something sinister afoot here or is it all in Kate’s mind caused by her recent head injury. So this was chilling and mysterious and all sorts of suspenseful. I changed my mind constantly with what I actually believed was happening here. No sooner had I decided then I swerved directions again. Great characters and plenty of intrigue and also a really unique read. This one really was a packed read and that final end-game was just superb. A great read that I am happy to recommend.

This is the final book in the two-book duet. Book one must be read first. One man thinks I’m a saint. The other thinks I’m a sinner. One man lives in the public eye. The other lurks in the shadows. One man wants to use me for his own needs.

The other wants to use me for his revenge.

One man will get what’s coming to him.
The other will get what he deserves.

They told me good girls get rewarded.

The Devil’s Advocate by Ashley Jade
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book 2 in this series and what a twisted ride it was. It was totally different from my usual reads and despite the many no-no’s this had in store for me I still enjoyed it a lot. It gripped me from the start with its originality and uniqueness and was a superb finale. My first experience with this author but definitely not my last. I can’t say too much without giving this away so my main advice is read this series blind with no preconceptions. This is again told from all three POV’s and is equally as enthralling as its predecessor. A great read that I do recommend. Totally loving where this went and also that final brilliant end game.

This one managed to totally surprise me.
