They always want to break me, but I’m too strong now. Untouchable.
Or at least I was…until her.

I’ve had tunnel vision for one main goal for so long, that I forgot there was a whole other world just outside. Until Lana.

She’s everything I never expected, and I love the fact I can never guess her every move or reaction. It’s part of the reason I keep falling. But I also know she shuts me out, hides things from me she feels she can’t share.

One day, I hope she trusts me enough to share.

It isn’t until my job puts her at risk that I realize just how fierce she is, but it doesn’t stop me from doing all I can to protect her. I should walk away to protect her better, but I can’t. Instead, I’m forced to find other ways to keep her safe.

I just hope it’s enough.

Though she is fierce, she’s still fragile…

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This next book in this addictive series really does up the ante in terms of the action and drama and we also have one of Logan’s cases seriously impacting his new relationship when a serial-killer he is chasing The Boogeyman targets, Lana, sending him into protective caveman mode despite Lana’s more than able ability to take care of herself. We also have a suspicious co-worker and a jealous Ex added to the mix and also developments that I didn’t see coming at all. Logan himself also nearly self-explodes his new partnership by a lack of consideration before it has even got started sending Lana into a spin. I enjoyed this just as much as its predecessor and that grand finale was all sorts of dramatic.

This series is all sorts super addictive and dark and twisty and I am loving every second of the journey.
