known, I march down the aisle compelled to surrender to the darkness.
the aisle on this one.
I found “Bride To keep” to be such an enjoyable read.
I’m not usually a great fan of reverse harem often finding it hard to experience a major emotional connection between the players involved.
Not so here; this was such an intriguing addictive ride that I thought managed to portray the emotive element just so well.
The concept used throughout was so simple but brilliant allowing me to forge ahead through hidden avenues with each and every character involved.
You might ask why I am actually reading reverse harem when it’s so obviously not my bag.
Well, this is one that just kinda slipped through the net; I had a bit of a brain-blip moment not realising what this was till after I had signed up for it.
Note to self; actually reading the blurb would be a good idea in hindsight.
In this case, I was incredibly thankful for my moment of inattention as this turned out to be such an unexpected gem; totally surprised me with how much I actually ended up enjoyed this.
So this is Dark reverse harem involving four notorious criminal brothers, A sweet as pie sister and a sassy opinionated female protagonist.
This was a hot as hell forage into an unconventional setup that is so far from the usual but still much to my wonder actually worked really well.
Though “Bride To Keep” was in itself relatively simplistic in nature it did surprisingly make compulsive reading while also managing to pack a massive emotional punch and When the fallout from past previous events eventually impacted this self-made family I cried like a baby; This was so sad and poignant was really not expecting that from this at all.
So this is told mainly from Monet’s POV (BTW Loving that name totally) with occasional input from the Brother’s side of things and though relatively limited in secondary characters I didn’t actually find this affected things at all.
This was more a point in its favour as it cut out the white noise involved allowing me to focus and hone in on the main event much easier than I would with a more cluttered landscape.
I liked how each brother got to spend their individual time with Monet and they were all such very different flavours of the same recipe.
It was almost a love/Lust story within a story within a story if you get my drift.
And what started out as so dark, swiftly morphed for Monet into a much lighter vein as the story evolved.
I also really adored the sentimentality of the epilogue it was the icing on the cake for me.
So on reflection, this was a great read that I’m happy to recommend to you.
It turned out to be so much more than I was originally expecting; with unforeseen depths that make this definitely stand out in its particular genre.
