🌹ARC BOOK REVIEW🌹

Release Date-30th June 2018
Genre-Sci-Fi Romance
Kindle Edition

Steel is TOTALLY a standalone read.

Baz Rutland

A lost soul, a cyborg in search of a future. He aims to upgrade his most intimate tool and BIG and HARD will do, but what does a man really need to be perfect again?

Ember

A Principle Data extraction expert employed by CESS Industries – a princess in lay terms. She’s in search of her past and her parents but who is she really? If she ever finds out who killed her parents, she will rain destruction down upon them, in some nerd-geek way, like by remote-opening the airlocks on their ship so they die horribly.

Her biggest secret and fetish is her love of the BIG guys, like the orcs, but she would never ever act on that unless she had nothing left to lose.

Hoss

Half-Orc, half Shag, and a hairy beast, he shaves to blend into the mass of humanity populating the galaxies. All he has ever wanted is to be wanted in return, to be loved and find a mate. But what hope of that when he’s a rejected half-breed?

Warning:
Like PREY, this book is not gritty uber-dark such as Cari Silverwood often writes. It is the pansy dark you reach for when you’re all darked out and one step from seeing a therapist.

It’s carnal, naughty, and very twisted, and not what your mother ever wanted you to read. Also, there may be some robots that go PEW PEW.

“Hey. Cyborg Man. Is this a good day for rescuing princesses?”

So I bloody adored “Steel” like just so much; it was such a mish-mash of carnal, sci-fi delight with a dash of slapstick humour and a big glug of ridiculousness to accompany its also surprisingly emotive trio.
I am such a mega nerd for weird-ass shenanigans and this book had it going on in absolute spades.
Enough to satisfy even the most ardent of fornication outside the species zealots.
And here to quote the cyber-monks themselves we get treated to a big fat dollop of down and dirty Orc/Human/Cyborg porn and is it wrong that whilst also curling my toes with totally salacious delight my heart itself was also doing a pitter patter of pure bliss whenever that big sexy and did I mention big; yep I did; ( brain kinda short-circuiting here folks ) Orc/Shag up and purred for his potential mate.
Not gonna lie here; I’m such a sucker for any throaty deep purr of the feline sort, so totally suggestive and seductive in its purpose and intent.
Cross that with a crabby but amped up Cyborg and I’m in heaven; like a kid in a sweetshop with an overabundance of goodies, that’s me.
“Steel” was a raunchy romp totally worthy of its slapstick label and I mean that as a total compliment here people.
The main protagonist’s of this story here are one; Ember, Human of unknown origin, PRINCESS of CESS Industries.
A Principle Data extractor extraordinaire in fact with a weird invisible friend and a self-assigned quest to discover her past Ancestry.
Two; Hoss A mixed breed of Orc/Shag parentage employed by CESS as Embers guard and protector; a huge sexy beast with a massive penchant for his luscious charge and a very real desire to make her his mate no matter how much their particular union would be frowned upon.
And finally Three Baz; a grumpy disgruntled Cyborg who along with his crew is trawling the dead-space in his junk bucket of a ship; just looking to rescue a Princess for the Cyber-monks in return for an upgrade of the intimate variety.
So that’s the main gist here really and when these three misfits destinies collide its a non-stop race of classic one-liners, ridiculous plotlines and some seriously filthy hook-ups that as well as being pure smut was also so much fun to kick back and just revel in..
It’s almost like a carry on film of the sci-fi steampunk variety and I myself inhaled the cockamamie Narrative like it was oxygen and the more farcical and absurd events played out; the more I devoured like the whole nine yards and more.
So “Steel” is like seriously knicker dripping or dropping fine.
Everything wrong about this also makes it so right.
I had a mega hard-on (If I had one that Is) for Hoss; such a delicious Orc/Shag, I adored his furry ass like a whole bloody lot.
He for me was hands down my favourite thing in this whole Zany pantomime; with Maybe Baz’s Monster mechanical appendage coming in a very close second.
What can I say; I am a female after all and Baz’s cyborg enhancements well let’s just say Anne summers eat your heart out.
Hoss was the one ultimately in charge of this threeway here and for me, that worked you know with me being like his own personal fan club and all.
I was all for the Hoss.
So I think its safe to say here from my above noise I really was digging the whole entire she-bang here.
This isn’t really going to be for everyone of course, but if you like something a bit out of the box and outside the traditional then maybe take a chance on this, you might even surprise yourself.
On a side-note, the Orc featured here Hoss is way up on the attractive scale despite his monobrow; and not at all like the minging ORCS from Tolkien; just saying; being The official Spokeswoman for the Hoss fan-club and all wanted to put that out there.
Don’t Diss the Hoss he’s a total Orc babe

ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-26/6/18

You know this was a great read that I really did enjoy.
I raced through here in record time and if it wasn’t for a few little niggles I would have given it the full five stars.
So I’m going to start by saying that this was a brand new author for me so wasn’t quite sure what I was going to be getting here.
Need not have worried “Hell Upside Down” Is one of those stories that hooks you in almost instantly.
So after that wowzer of an opener, we are then taken on a journey of discovery starting a year previously.
Alongside Scarlett herself, we get to accompany and experience how such a strong individual finds herself in such a harrowing and horrific position.
How Scarlet could so easily get sucked into the fraudulent facade of the charismatic and successful Hugh Cruz.
He was like an answer to her prayers sweeping in and giving her the whole fairy tale; rescuing Scarlet from the ordinary everyday drudgery that is her life.
And the whole time I was experiencing Hugh’s lavish courtship; I felt such a sense of unease just waiting for the other shoe to drop and when it did I felt the bewilderment and anguish of pain and confusion along with Scarlet as the rug was systematically yanked right from under her feet.
So this was such an enthralling read that dealt with some appalling abuse; the physical as well as mental.
I couldn’t help but feel real compassion for Scarlett as she tries unsuccessfully to fight against the circumstances she had unwittingly placed herself in.
And when things do eventually come to a head and everything implodes in a dramatic fashion.
We then do get to experience the fallout.
We also get a privileged up close and personal front seat view to witness and process how Scarlett manages to deal with the aftermath.
Shes definitely a changed girl in some ways for the better as she does seem to appreciate more of what shes got as opposed to what she actually wants.
Its the old adage be careful what you wish for.
But the nervy scared girl she now is; is so far from where she originally started; It just goes to show how easy it is for a predator to pounce and move on in.
“Hell Upside Down” also had some excellent side characters both good and bad.
Not necessarily the ones you would think either a couple did blindside me with their overall attention.
We do get some love here also; though I wouldnt necessarily describe this as a romance novel the courtship is actually more of a secondary concern to the whole story; almost an added bonus.
But the message it did impart here for me was; don’t be so blind to what is actually under your nose.
The best things can come from the most unlikely of places.
So I only had some slight issues with this: first Tabatha; there were a couple teensy things that perplexed me in regards to her part in the story and Scarlett, as a result, I was left feeling a trifle bewildered.
I was also never quite sure what Hugh’s main motive was in regards to Scarlett and why he was even doing what he was doing it was never adequately explained to my complete satisfaction.
So that’s it told you they were slight; all in all, this was a truly great read for me that kept me easily engaged and I’m happy to give the green light to.

I’m a new erotic romance author with two books currently out. Loving the Senator and The Ambassador and Me. Both were Amazons Hot New Release and Bestsellers. Soon to release on November 3rd Paris, The Ambassador and Me the second in the Trilogy. On November 27th, I will be releasing Loving The Candidate the Second in the Capital Affairs series. Around Christmas I plan to release a very emotional book called Just Breathe Again.
I’ve been writing since I was seven when I won my first essay contest in our state. From then on I wrote as much as possible. It wasn’t until four years ago when I decided to write what I loved to read, erotic romances. Back in the day I would steal my moms Jackie Collins books and read them repeatedly tucked in between my Little House in the Prairie books and late at night with a flashlight under the covers. It never hit me to actually write romances until I spent a few days in New York went to Central Park with my laptop. I closed my eyes while I typed my first sex scene (it really helped) and I haven’t looked back.
When I’m not writing I hike, cook and spend time with my family. I have two daughters and two dachshund’s.

ARC BOOK REVIEW

This was a somewhat satisfying conclusion to this interesting YA duo; although the ending here was not really to my taste at all.
I in truth found it a trifle depressing and pointless in nature but hey ho that’s just me and I’m not a big advocate for these type of finales; never have been.
Mercy Brown Part Two; brings us back to the stage it set for us in part one and almost immediately we are thrown headlong back into the action.
Unlike its predecessor, this is pumped from the outset with a steady storyline of action, chaos and curveballs.
Out of the Two instalments, this one was my favourite and as well as getting to delve deeper into the psyche that is Mercy we are also introduced to additional characters each bringing something unique to the table.
What let this down slightly for me was that I didn’t really feel we got to know Sebastion any more this time around.
He felt to me like a cardboard caricature of a self-tortured misunderstood vampire that I’d seen many times before; it felt a trifle old if I’m honest here.
I wanted to dig deeper into what makes Sebastion the vampire he is instead we barely scratched the surface with him and what we did learn didn’t for me show him in the best of light.
I guess what I’m trying to say here is that you have this kick-ass girl whos such a big personality and force to be reckoned with and then we have Sebastion seemingly in her shadow and hanging on to her coattails for dear life; he never once takes up for her and comes across as a bit wishy-washy.
And he’s always leaving her behind which didn’t sit well with me at all.
I didn’t get the sense these two were soul mates or anything near and that was a bit off a sticker for me really.
What we did get here is an almost chocka filled race to the finish; with many glorious turns and unexpected pathways and despite some reservations, I still enjoyed this so very much.
Now if that ending could be rewritten, well I would definitely rate this so much higher.

With a history like ours, the meaning of the word family tended to tangle into something unrecognizable. DNA and bloodlines didn’t tie us together, and neither did our last names. Various shades of grey blurred the branches of our twisted family tree.

I wasn’t her brother.
They weren’t my parents.
Not that it mattered…

She was off limits.

Portia was my friend.
Then my foster sister.

And she’d always be the love of my life.

Oh Wow!! Just Wow!!!
“Family Ties” By Stephie Walls was friggin amazing; like sooo good.
It’s an angsty coming of age story; with blurred boundaries lines and an almost forbidden attraction between two vulnerable young adults just trying to navigate lives obstacles while existing in a world of chaos where their path in life is still waiting to be forged and the coming chapter is still yet to be written.
Clinging to each other like a lifeline in a storm; Portia and Jude’s destinies have been intertwined since a young age.
Both entering each other’s life at a critical time these two share an unimaginable bond; foster siblings and confidantes since the day they met.
Shared Experiences and broken psyche’s Portia and Jude share a bond like no other.
But what happens when these feelings start to morph into something more.
When one is almost more broken than the other can deal with and when the one who makes your soul sing is the very last person society believes you should be with.
So, This was such a beautiful and at times heartbreaking tale.
From the moment I started reading this, I was transfixed with fascination and delight; never have I wanted someone to win at life as much as these two.
I can not find anything about this story I actually disliked; it ticked every one of my boxes and more.
A raw and emotional tale that leapt of these pages capturing my heart with its magical and emotive Prose.
this slow build style of narration really did work here; building an atmosphere of almost hopeful anticipation with its smouldering low burner approach; I loved and adored every expected moment. Every twist and turn took to arrive at its eventual end game.
At times this awakening wasn’t pretty or politically correct, but what this journey definitely was at its core was honest.
I can not recommend this story enough it was so thought-provoking and real and its one that will certainly stick in my mind for a long time to come.
This is an author I have never experienced before and she has undoubtfully scored a new fan in me; so impressed with this excellent piece of fiction; Bravo.

ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-28/6/18

So unlike a lot of other readers, I haven’t read the previous book in this particular series and Know I managed to follow along fairly easily here there were still some instances where I was left feeling a bit out of the loop overall.
So I am going to go out on a limb here and say; though this can be read as a standalone as all the necessary components are present; reading the two books as a series makes more sense to me and would probably make the whole experience here much better overall.
So much did I enjoy this I also will definitely be back-tracking and reading book one in this series at a later date.
So without having anything to measure this against I just really went with my gut for this one and I have got to say “Faded Gray Lines” is one book that I liked a hell of a lot.
I’m not usually a big fan of second chance romances but this one had so much going on that it was exceptionally easy to get sucked right in and lost within its excellent narrative.
This is Leighton and Mateo’s story and almost instantly upon starting I was unable to put it down such addictive reading was this; I was in a surefire race till that finish line
So Leighton has come rushing home to her big brother after events have spiralled out of her hands culminating in an epic fuck up out of all her control.
Big Brother Brody along with the Carrera Cartel is there to assist in cleaning up her mess.
Mateo or Matty as Leighton refers to him is a high up member of said Cartel.
When Mateo and Leighton reconnect its a big ole shock to both parties as neither was expecting the other and this is where our story takes off.
So I really liked Mateo as a character and once he got over his initial spit your dummy out tantrum it wasn’t hard to completely warm to his over the top protective alpha vibe.
He was so understanding of Leighton’s actions even without knowing the reasoning behind it.
And although I did think he was way out of order to be so pissed at Leighton for A not waiting for him and B lieing about her identity; Considering the complete lack of honesty on his part also it was a tad hypocritical and unreasonable in my opinion.
For that matter; How was she even meant to know he had been arrested anyway is the question that should have been on her lips.
But despite the above, I still really liked the fact that once he had gotten over himself he was all about Leighton; totally wearing his heart on his sleeve for all and sundry to see.
Leighton, I liked also but she was a bit dim at times and seemed to be an expert in creating drama that just wasn’t necessary out of sheer pig-headed stubbornness and unnecessary pride.
She also was a bit lone-wolf at times instead of trusting in Mateos care for her.
I did find that aspect of her personality a tad annoying.
But I really liked how eventually she embraced her inner monster accepting it for what it was; that I found was so refreshing.
Despite the above, I did really enjoy the dynamic between these two an awful lot.
“Faded Gray Lines” was a fascinating book that managed to hold my attention throughout.
All in all, this turned out to be a pretty good read for me that I’m happy to recommend.

About the Author:

International bestselling author Cora Kenborn writes twisted romances about damaged bad boys and feisty heroines. She promises her readers a happily ever after, although she may or may not take them on an emotional rollercoaster before giving it to them. (Okay, she totally will.)

A Southern girl from North Carolina, Cora says “y’all” way too much and has a lifelong addiction to sweet tea. She refuses to “adult” without coffee, thinks pyjamas are acceptable daywear, and considers note-taking during true crime shows to be perfectly normal. On the rare occasion that Cora has free time, she spends it avoiding laundry and convincing her family that Hot Pockets are an acceptable dinner.

Oh, and autocorrect thinks she’s obsessed with ducks.

“Sage’s Surrender” is the first book I have read by this author and while I did ultimately enjoy this; I also had some slight issues as well.
So my positives first; This was an age-gap romance which is one of my all-time favourite tropes.
I really can’t get enough of this type of story; it’s a real guilty pleasure of mine in romance fiction.
This was well-written and very engaging and had a great cast of characters that kept me invested and entertained throughout.
It was told in dual POV; which I prefer and had just the right balance of action, suspense and angst to pique my interest.
In my opinion, though part of the Hell’s Riders series this can definitely be read as a standalone; I did no issues and I easily followed along.
This was a relatively easy read and despite this being set in an MC Club; I didn’t find it especially that dark either.
Don’t get me wrong; there was a definite stain here, but my depravity meter is actually set way-way high, probably due to all the disturbing stuff I actually inhale; so by my standards, this was actually relatively tame in comparison.
I also was really digging sage’s manly Vibe; he was such hunk of a man and after finally throwing in the towel and succumbing to his feelings towards Brook he only became hotter in my eyes.
A man who goes after what he wants disregarding societies rules is just so darn sexy.
Now for my issues, I disliked how in the beginning Sage blew hot and cold with Brook; I thought he really wasn’t being fair to her sending her such mixed messages.
He really should have made a choice either way and just gone with it instead of almost playing with her emotions just because he couldn’t control his baser urges.
But the main kicker here for me was Brook herself; she was such a wingy spoilt child; I really found it extremely difficult at first to warm up to her, like even a smidgen and I really did struggle to comprehend how a grown man would be interested romantically in such a juvenile Little girl; and I’m talking about her outward behaviour here not her actual age; as that in my opinion is really just a number.
I was so pleased when she finally quit the stroppy teenage tantrums, this gave me a chance to actually warm up to her without the added distraction of her constant juvenile behaviour as background noise.
Finally, there was some really hypocritical behaviour on someone’s part here and also in regards to where we eventually ended up that didn’t really sit that right with me.
That’s all I can say here; without letting the cat out of the bag, but you’ll definitely get what I mean when you read about it.
The ending here could also have been better for me, I wasn’t a big fan; finding it actually kind of anti-climatic overall, but I must say I did really love that epilogue; it was ever so charming indeed.
So taking everything here into consideration while I did enjoy this and found it mostly a positive experience there were just some slight tweaks that for me would have given this a much higher eventual score; overall this still had many more positives than negatives.

ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-20/6/18

This was my first experience with this talented author and got to say this one blew me away with its fantastic world building and imaginative storyline.
I have already been checking out further titles by this particular author so much did “Liberty” impress me with its unique and original take on a future dystopian America.
The “USA” a hundred years from now is a vastly different place to what it is now; with rules put in position to help keep tight control of the masses.
The country is kept in check with a prison system called the Underground; here crime is punished in exactly the same way for all; with incarceration in a vast beneath ground penal colony.
Man, woman or child; Murder or stealing; this is where you end up if you’ve broken the law.
Or been born to a parent who has committed such a crime.
Thrown underground or just born into a nightmare of darkness; here the inmates themselves are the Kings and Queens of this insane system; No way out once in; you’re a guest of the Underground till the end of your known days; however long or short that lifespan might be.
The rebels; a breakoff army faction who disagreed with the current government’s stance and harsh position on crime.
staged a breakout of all the perceived innocents thrown or born into this corrupt government system.
liberating them from there underground prison sentences and shipping them off into secret compounds across the country.
Assisting them to heal and recover from the trauma they have been cruelly exposed to; some from birth, these places have become almost places of regrowth and hope.
This is the tale of one such fugitive safety net, aptly named “Liberty” and the events that escalate here when it borders are breached by an outside force intent on destroying all that “Liberty means and stands for.
This is a spin-off story; set in the already fictional world of “When Nothing Is All You’ve Got” but can definitely be read as a standalone no problem at all.
Got to say though that I enjoyed this so much I will definitely be reading the original novel that this addictive tale evolved from.
Events here are told from dual POV; Grace and Ink; two of Liberty’s inhabitants and I really did adore so much the overall dynamic portrayed here between these two individuals.
Ink is a Rebel fighter; in Liberty to head up protection and defence for the colony; Grace or Gracie as Ink calls her is one of the liberated Underground Inmates; thrown in there at Twelve after accidentally killing her stepfather.
With an already established relationship of friendship here, it was just so easy to get lost in the easy rapport between these two; even despite some initial misunderstandings that were mainly the fault of Ink and his sheer stubbornness and total man-brain moments.
So; Ink and Gracie really do come into there own when they need to collaborate together to save there home and rid their borders of these unwanted invaders.
“Liberty was such a gripping and raw experience; with some truly reprehensible actions and characters throughout.
There was pure evil in some of the people here and this certainly didn’t pull its punches; like not one little bit at all.
Do Prepare yourself as this book shows you the depths of human depravity and Wickedness and what we as a race can be capable off when the rules are dispensed with; How far we can actually sink when we throw our common decency and morality out that window.
But it also reflects back at us; just how far we can push back for the people we care about and love; how strong a community can be when they stand as one but also how one rotten apple can topple the barrel; Liberty had its own Trojan Horse within its walls just like the famous Troy itself.
There were just so many fabulous diverse characters in Liberty; too many to actually mention and give them all the justice they so deserve.
I honestly never truly knew what was coming or what some peoples involvement or actual agendas entailed; this author had some seriously spellbinding story weaving Skills that I truly did appreciate.
It’s was like a superpower all of its own making.
Rather than just concentrating solely on the romance “Liberty” I found to be much more story and action focused; The romantic elements were all there They were just more of a secondary factor to the whole entire experience.
I also loved how strong and kickass a female Gracie was; It was also refreshing to see Ink try and allow her to be herself and trust in her abilities even when it made him feel uncomfortable to not be in complete control of events and their actual outcomes.
So before I go I’ve got something small to add on; there was a situation here that after I had reassessed my original thoughts; I was so ashamed of myself for being so blind and heartless to the whole event.
It’s an actual Trespass no matter how you look at it; just wanted to get that out there.
I’m just so glad that certain individuals here had compassion once they had the complete picture, and treated all concerned in the correct manner.
So just a brief trigger warning before I depart; “Liberty” contains very dark themes you have been warned.
But still saying that; I can not recommend this story enough it was one hell of a read That I couldn’t put down.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC copy of “Liberty” of which I have reviewed voluntary.

Katya

Everyone around me calls me a monster. I can’t say that I blame them, over the years I was turned into one, into my worst nightmare – something that I tried so hard not to become. What no one knows is what I had to go through, and I
doubt that they ever will.

Sure, I married a monster and maybe he did turn me into what I am today.

But sometimes I wonder….who really turned me into this foul being? My mother?
Or was it my husband?

Regardless, it doesn’t matter. I am what I am, and everyone hates me for it,
even my own brother and sister.

Here I am, thrown to the side of the road like a piece of trash – hurt by the only person that I thought cared – Sergei. It turns out that he never did, or
maybe he only cared when it benefited him.

Now I’m trying to mend the only relationships that I can salvage while trying to protect my family from the war that is coming. Being a Petrov was never
easy, and it never will be.

When I travelled across the globe to Gainesville, Tennessee I expected to mend a relationship with Dmitri and Ksenia. Instead, I began a relationship with someone else, someone who is just as much of a monster as me. Only, no one else
knows that.

He’s opening up to me in ways that my husband never did and while our
relationship grows I only hope that I can keep everyone I love safe from the
fight that is waiting on our doorstep.

After all, Petrov’s survive – no matter what.

We always survive.

ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-24/6/18

OMG this was fantastic and my absolute favourite of all the books in this series.
Events here finally culminating with such reveals that have left the whole Skulls Renegade MC reeling in shock from the secrets and lies unfolding right before there eyes.
What a finale this episode had; saying I’m actually gobsmacked here is an actual understatement.
“Reckoning” left me completely flawed; so excuse me here while I actually pick up my jaw from the floor.
So This time around its Katya and Slasher/Junior’s time to shine beneath that spotlight.
And boy do they do just that; Reckoning has some incredibly steamy antics alongside its believable emotional turmoil so much so that I was hooked right from the get-go.
What we have here is two make no apologies flawed individuals who are just trying to beat the life lottery and win with the given hand they have been dealt.
I adored Katya and wanted to strangle her siblings Dimitri and Ksenia for there complete lack of insight and compassion.
Everything Katya has endured and embraced within her young life has been for the protection of her sister and the lack of appreciation and deeper understanding here is frankly astonishing, self-serving and selfish.
And is it so wrong to at least try and claw back a semblance of normality and take what happiness is offered; even if it is from what some would label a monster; I think its safe to say Katya paid for that err is judgement tenfold and then some, poor girl.
She has embraced the monster within to overcome her circumstances and shield her sister from life’s harsh realities and the thanks she gets is judgement at its most self-righteous.
But not from Slasher/Junior he sees beyond the forced persona to the vulnerable woman hidden so well beneath and has her back from day one of there first encounter.
He feels almost a sense of solidarity and an unfamiliar desire, a compulsion to shield Katya from those that would play judge and jury despite her well-apparent ability to take care of herself.
And Katya sees beyond Junior’s mutilated face to the man beneath; she has scars of her own they are just better concealed.
So as I said earlier this completely knocked my socks off in terms of outcomes and there is another huge player brought to the table in “Reckoning” that is quite evidently going to change the whole playground.
We are introduced to the missing Petrov Sister; the youngest a half sibling who is unquestionably criminal royalty and who also happens to be along with her husband the head of the Romanian Clans; The Romanian Mob in actuality.
Mariana and her husband Ion Petran are definitely going to be front characters in the future War that seems to be on the near horizon.
I for one can’t wait; all I really need now is that next book; I’m on literal pins here with such expectant anticipation, I so want it now folks.

ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-25/6/18

I found “Bride To keep” to be such an enjoyable read.
I’m not usually a great fan of reverse harem often finding it hard to experience a major emotional connection between the players involved.
Not so here; this was such an intriguing addictive ride that I thought managed to portray the emotive element just so well.
The concept used throughout was so simple but brilliant allowing me to forge ahead through hidden avenues with each and every character involved.
You might ask why I am actually reading reverse harem when it’s so obviously not my bag.
Well, this is one that just kinda slipped through the net; I had a bit of a brain-blip moment not realising what this was till after I had signed up for it.
Note to self; actually reading the blurb would be a good idea in hindsight.
In this case, I was incredibly thankful for my moment of inattention as this turned out to be such an unexpected gem; totally surprised me with how much I actually ended up enjoyed this.
So this is Dark reverse harem involving four notorious criminal brothers, A sweet as pie sister and a sassy opinionated female protagonist.
This was a hot as hell forage into an unconventional setup that is so far from the usual but still much to my wonder actually worked really well.
Though “Bride To Keep” was in itself relatively simplistic in nature it did surprisingly make compulsive reading while also managing to pack a massive emotional punch and When the fallout from past previous events eventually impacted this self-made family I cried like a baby; This was so sad and poignant was really not expecting that from this at all.
So this is told mainly from Monet’s POV (BTW Loving that name totally) with occasional input from the Brother’s side of things and though relatively limited in secondary characters I didn’t actually find this affected things at all.
This was more a point in its favour as it cut out the white noise involved allowing me to focus and hone in on the main event much easier than I would with a more cluttered landscape.
I liked how each brother got to spend their individual time with Monet and they were all such very different flavours of the same recipe.
It was almost a love/Lust story within a story within a story if you get my drift.
And what started out as so dark, swiftly morphed for Monet into a much lighter vein as the story evolved.
I also really adored the sentimentality of the epilogue it was the icing on the cake for me.
So on reflection, this was a great read that I’m happy to recommend to you.
It turned out to be so much more than I was originally expecting; with unforeseen depths that make this definitely stand out in its particular genre.

Cover Reveal, Cover Reveals Blitz's & New Releases

/ Cover Reveal / Bewitching Sloth (Seven Deadly Sins Series Book One) / Michelle Gross /

Title: Bewitching Sloth
Series: Seven Deadly Series #1
Author: Michelle Gross
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Release Date: July 30, 2018
Reapers are the peacekeepers—the balancers of life and death, good and evil. They’re the police of the Underworld in a way. They keep both worlds balanced just enough so that the King of the Underworld can never escape his prison.
For the day his reign stretches into the human world, all things good will come to an end.
This is the story of a dark king who cursed seven siblings with sins, and how far those seven went to protect both worlds from the end of days when an old entity challenged the Dark One’s very reign.

Isabella Wen has spent the last decade in the human world hiding from the one that turned her touch deadly, made her body a weapon for his own gain.
Sebastian Reaper—bearer of the sin of sloth and the eldest son of the revered Grim Reaper—has spent his entire life fighting to stay awake because of his curse.
When the witch finds the sleepy sloth passed out in the human hospital, they touch and sparks fly. Her touch should have hurt him. Instead, it’s the one thing he’s after.
She thinks her darkness is her undoing. He thinks she’s his cure.
When her past and her future collide, he must choose between duty and heart.
The world or her?

Each book in the series is about a different sibling and their sin, so the romance has an ending in each book. As for the storyline, it’s just getting started
Michelle is from a small town in Eastern Kentucky where opossums try to blend in with the cats on the porch and bears are likely to chase your pets—this is very true, it happened with her sister’s dog. Despite the extra needed protection for your pets, she loves the mountains she calls home. She has a man and twin girls who are the light of her life and the reason she’s slightly crazy.
As a kid, she was that cousin, that friend, that sister and daughter, the talker who could spin a tale and make-believe into any little thing so it was no surprise when she found love in reading, and figured all these characters inside her head needed an outlet. They wanted to be heard, so she wrote.
The voices keep growing faster than she gets the time to write.
The stories are never going to end. That’s perfectly okay, though. We never want to stop an adventure.
She writes and loves many different genres so sign up to her mailing list to keep updated on her releases!
